Is 3D Printing "Creating A Whole New World?"

A prototype part printed by a University in US that studies wildlife anatomy

Imagine a machine which accepts CAD (computer aided design) drawings, then produces a three dimensional prototype within a few hours.

We are talking about prototypes that perform just like the final product and complex assemblies that require no assembly. Up to thousands of end-use parts built for less than the tooling cost of one.

Whatever you imagine, a 3D printer helps you make it real!

It is also able to make ABS prototype pieces that snap together to fit into an assembly, providing a higher level of accuracy, stability and durability than wax models. They won’t warp, shrink or absorb moisture.

You can now build a functional and working model because they withstand rigorous testing. The best thing? You do not need any specialized training.

It is so useful, the machine is now being introduced to public high schools in US..!

The ultimate dream of mine will be to have this prototyped by a 3-D printer.. :)))

Whatever it is, life goes on.

Dear God...

Please let me pass my CFM exam tomorrow.

Please make sure the question doesn't require us to do any mathematics calculation, scrutinization & analysis of  any spreadsheets, coz I tried but I still don't know how. Hence, I've given up on that altogether.

Please make sure it doesn't require us to comment on the subject of WACC and the Modigliani & Miller theory, coz I've read it like a 143 times and I still can't understand how it works and how to apply it to whatever. I swear I did try a lot of times..!!! You can ask my furball who bears witness to all my late nights.

Please make sure I remember to bring my notes, textbook and black pen to the exam hall.

Please help me to stay calm and remind me to go through my check-list before I leave the exam hall.

If the questions are too hard, all I am asking for is a pass, but if it's not too hard, please give me a C....

Ok la, ok la, just give me a pass will do.

...

...

...

I guess asking for a B is out of the question, then?

I know there were times I played bejeweled blitz much more than I studied, but you must understand that this is an EXTREMELY tough subject, not only for me, but also for the rest of the WORLD. So please have some passion. Eh, sorry, I mean compassion. I was merely trying to keep my attention and interest going with "short break" intervals.. :P

With this, I now put my life in your hand.

Thank you and good night!

Oh, and here is a little cake for you so that you will grant me all the wishes willingly and happily, if you happen to bump into my blog.

But you can only have 1 slice coz you need to watch your diet, but these are healthy cakes, so you can eat in peace.

Oh, and sorry God, I actually ate the chocolate one already, so you have one less choice to choose from.. :)))

How can I turn off my night terrors?

Didn't sleep much the whole of last night. You know why? Because I was having nightmare the entire time.

What was I dreaming of..? This -

Lecturer : OMG, you mean you forgot to read chapter 135, the most important chapter..?!?!

I forgot to bring my prepared notes and text book into the exam hall on the exam day..!

Even the weakest student of all, was able to do complicated mathematics calculation in record time while I couldn't even do the simplest one...!

Lecturer : So what are the implications of all this financial decisions made by this and this company? What are the implications? You have not covered the implications yet. (That's because I was planning to cover that tomorrow maah.. wtf!@#$?%&!!)

Lecturer : What's NPV?
Me : NPV...!?!? What NPV..!?!? MPV I know laa.. die lo!

Those few incidents were repeating itself the whole night, until I awakened from it.

Then when I tried to continue to sleep, it also continued into the night... Very "seong" lo, like that!

Ways to cope with uncertainties

1) Plan for possibilities

Always walk through what might happen in the worst-case scenario, an in-between scenario and one that you would like to see happen. Planning help to give you a better picture of what to expect, and prepares you on how to handle each of the outcome.

Alternatively, you can do this. Learn to live with chaos. Although not many people is able to achieve this, I won’t say it’s impossible. Of course, it also depends on what it is that you are uncertain about, before you decide to adopt this path. For more info, click here.

2) Cultivate inner strength and resilience

Human nature is adaptive. From the holocaust in Europe to the great tsunami in Asia, we can find stories of human spirit that triumph over tragedy.

Realize there aren’t many things that you can’t handle. Know that you can draw from your inner strength. (This paragraph was extracted from Her World – July 2011 Issue)
